@abc7newsbayarea: Travelers encountered an unusual sight while driving through New Mexico on Monday, July 20, after a bear scaled a power pole and sat among electrical wires at the top. Those who called 911 were told to leave the bear alone because there was nothing authorities could do but let the bear come down on its own. According to local wildlife officials, the bear had unfortunately “sustained fatal injuries” before help arrived.
