In today’s video, I’m sharing some insights on how to heal emotional wounds at the root and shift the patterns that keep us stuck in cycles of chasing unavailable people. Through my own healing journey, I’ve come to realize that our nervous systems often hold on to past experiences, which influence our present-day reactions and relationships. If we grew up with emotionally unavailable parents, we may unconsciously seek out similar patterns in our adult relationships, trying to ‘fix’ or make people more available, even though that’s not the solution. What I’ve discovered through consistent neural exercises and somatic practices is that we must first create a sense of safety in our bodies. Our nervous system needs to be regulated before it can process and complete the emotional experiences tied to past wounds. If we try to dive into these emotions without the capacity to hold them, it can actually dysregulate us further, making it harder to heal. The goal is not to relive the trauma, but to build up enough resilience in the nervous system so that when these emotions do surface, we can process them in a healthy way. Over time, this helps us break free from the patterns of chasing validation or seeking approval from emotionally unavailable people. This is a journey, and for me, it’s been a mix of small but powerful shifts—like learning to honor my own boundaries, feeling more grounded in my body, and slowly releasing the unconscious drive to ‘earn’ love or validation. But I want to stress that healing is unique to each individual, and if you’re dealing with deep emotional wounds, it’s really important to work with a licensed therapist or somatic practitioner who can guide you through this process in a safe and supportive way. Remember, you are not alone in this. It’s okay to take your time and seek support when you need it. Healing happens in layers, and every small step you take is progress #NervousSystemHealing #AttachmentHealing #AnxiousAttachment #AvoidantEx #EmotionalRegulation #fyp #chasinglove #viral_video #somatichealing #avoidantattachment #HealingJourney #nervoussystemregulation #toxicrelationship
