Fascists are just barely to the right of communists. The purpose of socialism is to usher in communism per Stalin. The political fight in Germany in Hitler’s time was between communists and socialists. Mussolini was a card carrying member of the socialist party at the time until he was kicked out and started the fascist party. (Fun fact: Mussolini was a journalist beforehand.) But “left” and “right” is a false dichotomy anyhow. Always has been. In France, it only referred to which side of parliament a lender physically sat on and implied a generic set of ideals.
