@doctordiscover: Honey for your memory sounds like something your grandmother would say. Turns out there's actually a trial behind it. Back in 2011, researchers in Malaysia took 102 postmenopausal women and split them into three groups. One group got Tualang honey every day. One got hormone therapy. One got nothing. Sixteen weeks later, they tested everyone's memory. The honey group improved. Not by a little. Their immediate recall went up about as much as the women taking hormone therapy did. That's a real finding. And it deserves an honest read. What was strong about it. It was randomized. It used a validated memory test instead of asking women how sharp they felt. And it held honey up against actual hormone therapy, not just a sugar pill, which is a much harder bar to clear. What gives me pause. Only about 34 women per group, so it's small. It ran for just 16 weeks. And the benefit showed up only in immediate memory. The moment they made the task harder or added a delay before testing recall, the honey effect vanished. So this is a short-term bump in one narrow slice of memory, not proof that honey protects your brain. One study, on one specific type of honey, in one group of women, is a starting point. Not an answer. Would you try it off the back of this, or wait for bigger trials? Genuinely curious where you land.

European Thyme (Greek) honey ticks the boxes you mentioned & taste is 10/10. I buy raw, as organic as possible mono floral. Costs $$$ importing it. I am a honey hoarder, Tupelo, fireweed, carrot, manuka, CA central coast wildflower, I’ll buy that one mixed. I hate the black honey from Corfu, and the bitter honey from Sisley.best to buy where you can taste them first. If adulterated or boiled my tongue will tell me imiediatly.
