The only comment I agreed with was the you could have hidden the posts under the deck, just to make it look better, and it’s an easy fix - why not?

Actually. I really like your poles for attaching to the ground but respectfully…. Your small “overhang” just isn’t safe enough. Good luck tho

Why do you care what other people think. It’s your dock.

We use a very similar method (the poles) to easily attach brows on stairtower platforms for ships. We have a pipe on the platform and a slightly larger pipe on the brow. The crane lowers it down. Easy peasy.

You know your personal purpose and expected longevity of the dock. It looks great !

You need to put a cap or fill the tube with aluminum foil or foam that way you don’t get yellow jackets or being that close to the water snakes. Other than that, it looks great and I hope you have a lot of fun with it

oh my God, I've had treated wood on a dock in in the water in chickamauga lake for 35 years. I just had to replace a couple of posts and some sideboards last year. Yes it can be in the water.

A good handrail is always really important on a narrow dock. You can lose your balance really easy.

Nice job man. Comments can really be brutal on here. Sometimes I think people just scroll for videos to leave a nasty comment about.
