For those confused the serum basically put his mutation on steroids and his beast form was probably going to happen eventually as he aged and got stronger (he was also suppressing it before so that probably wasn’t really his true form either) but he is blue cause of raven (at least that’s my head canon)

For anyone confused: He used Mystique's (blue shape shifter) genes to make a serum to take away her mutation. He used it on himself to take away his, but since it wasn't his genes it reacted badly and enhanced his mutation. As well as giving him features similar to mystique (blue and yellow eyes)
