I mean we never found out how scar from the movie got his scar. So I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t think it was necessary for Leona to have a backstory on it since scar himself didn’t have one. (I didn’t watch the kids tv show nor the live action so I don’t know if they changed the story there, but in the original 1994 Lion King movie scar’s back story on his injury isn’t stated)

I like to hc that he and Falena got into a fight, and in that fight, because Leona had just discovered his unique magic, he accidentally used it on Falena because he was upset. That's when Falena gave Leona the scar out of self-defense. 😂✌️we love doomed Kingscholar brothers

sometimes my headcanons say it's abuse and then the other headcanon says he got it in an accident involving his father since we don't know how his father became bedridden (I think) so I like to think that when Leona was younger he was dicking around and got caught up with some sort of blot monster and his father protected him but got poisoned in the process which is why he's bedridden and his father accidentally scratched Leona's eye in the fight and because his father was bedridden from some sort of blot poisoning that's why Leona recognizes the Styx symbol

Non-angst headcanon, you know how kittens can’t curl their claws in yet? Probably got the scar from baby Cheka not being able to control his claws. He’s not blind in the eye and it looks superficial other than the scar itself.

I HC that he actually loves spending time with cats and once picked up a cat that scratched his eye wich resulted his scar and he would have told Cheka when he asked about the scar „even your closest friends can turn against you“ in a serious tone

Well it could be a birthmark (?), I mean there are some people who are born with a scar as a birthmark. I have a friend who has a scar under one of their eyes and has another on their lips. I could be wrong, but that’s what I think, Leona might as well been born with it 🤷🏻♀️😁🫠
