I think about the fact that sp9's tend to seek out more for their own needs, they are self sufficient and can be seen as selfish, they are more withdrawn than the other 9's, and way more passive While so9 acts more actively, seen as outgoing and friendly, they grow highly inside every friend group and love company, they focus more on other peoples needs than their owns.

according to claudio naranjo, both sp9 and so9 share the core passion of sloth (psychological self forgetting), but their mechanisms of erasure are total opposites. sp9 (appetite) erases the self passively through physical fusion. they numb their internal void via sensory narcotization,eating, sleeping, and clinging to concrete, repetitive routines. they substitute the need for identity with the immediate gratification of physical comforts. they fall asleep to themselves by shutting out the world and merging with their physical environment. so9 (participation) erases the self actively through social fusion. they are the paradox of the "workaholic 9." they numb their void by over involving themselves in the groups agenda, sacrificing their own boundaries to ensure collective harmony. they fall asleep to themselves by obsessively serving others, using constant activity and community participation as a shield so they don't have to face their own inner emptiness.
