🚨Handling an unfair pay rise👇 Being in a situation like this where you have received a lower pay rise to your colleagues can be really upsetting and challenging. I would recommend approaching it calmly and assertively in order to stand the best chance of getting your manager to see your point of view and act upon it. Try the following steps: 1️⃣ Ask your manager to explain the decision process so you can better understand 2️⃣ Raise awareness of any relevant facts e.g. your responsibilities, your performance rating 3️⃣ Let them know you are upset and without more information you find yourself in a position where you are having to draw your own conclusions 3️⃣ Try to get them to see your perspective and empathise. A good way to do this is to ask them what they would do if they were in your shoes 💬 Leave a 🙌 in the comments if this was helpful 👀 📌 Please remember the advice offered in this video is generalised and intended for guidance purposes only. It will not fit every situation so please use your own judgment based on your own unique situation. You’ve got this 💪 💾 Save this for when you might need it ✈️ Share with someone who you think this could help 🚀 Follow for more tips on handling tricky people and situations at work #worktips #leadershipdevelopment #work #corporatelife #emotionalintelligence #difficultconversations #managertips #communicationskills #assertivecommunication #difficultsituations
