i read and read, word per word and sentence by sentence yet..to love or to be loved is never truly answered. It was more like understanding each side not answering, poets and philosophers can't answer because they can NEVER. BE. ANSWERED. It can only be understood and known for WHY they are important,not WHICH is more important. It's either validation or vulnerability. You can't force someone TO BE loved nor force someone TO love. You have to UNDERSTAND that it's either SHAPING yourself or knowing your EXISTENCE MATTERS. Waking up to being loved or loving is both a different outcome,,You can't choose when you yearn for both ""to love is to be loved"" or ""to be loved is to love"" can you?,..but does that answer the question? We all have our ways of how,why, and what we love, showing that it doesn't have an answer to a question full of different outcomes because it depends on you. In your own way of seeing love, not because of trends in tiktok like the sidewalk rule, 143 codes, Door rule or whatsoever. You don't have to change your standards just because it's trending. We all have our own standards to feel love or be loved. It wasnt really about answering,its about understanding what we want.

after reading the essay and people’s comments, i realise that we can always choose to love and be kind to people no matter how they treat us, js do what makes us feel comfortable. however, there’s a contradiction(ts is a new word for me) i have thought about. what should we do if people keep ignoring our actions that show our love and careness to them? in that situation, the people who show love only get exhaustion, whatever negative feelings in return right? so, i think a relationship that can last long or endure the test of time needs love, sharing and gratitude from everyone in that relationship. ts is my own opinion and it’s not based on any realistic situations. just let me know if u guys have any other perspectives and what would u guys do in the situation i mentioned. also i’d be really glad that u can point out my mistakes in grammar and vocabulary since i’m still a learner😁

I want to make things a bit clear for some readers, I agree that love is more important than being loved since you are able to choose who, when and when not to love. Unlike being loved which you cannot so if you are waiting to be loved without giving love then you will be isolated since you need to give before you get to take. Loving someone is easy when you have the drive, but there are limits and lines you have drawn before you lose yourself in that vast ocean of love you are giving. Do not carelessly love someone to the point you are sacrificing your own dignity just for their sake, in love. There needs to be two who give and two who take. Since love needs to be mutual to have a healthy relationship be it romantic or pure platonic. You are important as an individual as much as the person you love is. Do not let yourself drown in emotions, do not tempt yourself in the lack of luster of such love, do not let yourself cloud your way of thinking from emotions. Have a clear mind, and be mature.

Love what you said. To me love is sharing. It's an experience that involved two people that decided to be selfless, vulnerable and sometimes messy. I strongly think that love is not only about giving or receiving. It is about sharing, learning and companionship. One who is loved but doesn't love will suffer from his inability to give it back. And one that loves without receiving it will also suffer from it. My answer will always be both, those two "truths" need to cohabitate.
