My friend who worked in hotels for years says this happens all the time and most hotels have a “house coat” at reception for these situations. It’s also part of the reason why a lot of hotels have random phones in some of the corridors

The EXACT same thing happened to me. Came to running the stairs in the stairwell, no piss, naked, called the courtesy phone by the elevator, me covering it just like you, they sent a young man with no coverage who ran the other direction and didn’t say a word to open my room.
