I know this will not be a popular opinion but: massive age gaps reflect a very intentional power difference. Don't do it.

He feared how you would act if you met his friend? If she were just a friend, he would want you to meet her.

DO NOT GET PREGNANT!!! Get the new job, file for divorce and move on. You deserve someone who actually likes and respects you

Why didn’t he just get together with his work friend after his wife passed? Unless, she’s married and has a good situation she doesn’t want to mess up. Either way, it’s over and you should find someone who will treat you right.

As someone who is a licensed clinical social worker that provides therapy, I concur with everything in this video. Unfortunately, though as a Socialworker, we can’t really be as blunt - we’re supposed to be in the passenger seat guiding you . however I feel like the person asking this question requires somebody to be very blunt so I don’t have any faith in couples counseling. If there’s any counseling at all, it needs to be individual for her. I guarantee there are a lot more red flag behaviors going on in that relationship.

Emotional affairs are often worse than physical. He’d leave her in a second if the other woman asked him to.

I disagree with the move on so fast comment. men frequently move on quicker than women at the death of their spouse. And a lot depends on whether or not it was a long illness or unexpected

1. Secrecy. No 2. Respecting the coworker over your spouse. No.

And I would wager a bet that after she leaves him, it will be less than six months before he announces a relationship or an engagement with the other woman.

His behaviors and his denials remind me of myself. I was him and didn't want to accept that I was in love with my best friend. It's an emotional affair at this point.
