@vintagecuratorinteriors: Ad. When we got Luther, we all agreed he’d only really live in the kitchen. That lasted about five minutes. Eight years later he’s my shadow and follows me absolutely everywhere, Vizslas aren’t called velcro dogs for nothing. Which also means a lot more dust and a surprising amount of dog hair follow me around the house too. I had friends coming over last weekend, so I had to give the house a proper clean. Was vacuuming underneath the chest of drawers in my bedroom strictly necessary? Probably not. Cleaning out the wood burner in July? Also questionable. But when you’ve got a Shark PowerDetect Speed Luxe Cordless Vacuum with a Flexology bending wand (yes, that really is what it’s called) from @Shark Home UK, it’s strangely satisfying. It was absolutely brilliant at getting on top of Luthers mess; the PowerDetect Intelligence automatically adjusts to whatever you’re cleaning. And the “Anti Hair Wrap” actually does what it says on the tin (which feels like witchcraft when you live with a dog). The lights on the floorhead are brilliant and have exposed dust in corners I’d happily been ignoring. You may have noticed I even change into shorts - cleaning in black trousers when it’s that hot was a terrible choice. However, the house was spotless, and Luther went straight back to napping on the (clean!) sofa whilst I was feeling ridiculously pleased with myself.
