@c_buildingquietwealth: I don’t have a friend group. And it’s not because nobody chose me. I’m an introvert. A long time ago I chose small. People love to tell you to put yourself out there, sign up for the class, join the club. I don’t do that. It empties me out. So instead of a big group, I built something smaller: A couple of people I chose on purpose, who chose me back. But nobody warns you about the cost of choosing small. When your circle is small, it can get smaller fast. Last month, I lost my best friend to cancer. It made me wonder if I’d done it wrong. But I wouldn’t trade what I have for anything. I’m loyal to the bone. Choose me, and I choose you back, 100%, forever. That’s not a small life. It’s an intentional one. If you’ve got even one person like that, tell them how much they mean to you.
