@jackdmurphy: The UK is SO overdue a proper Jeremy Kyle documentary because there is absolutely no way that era of television happened and we’re all just… moving on?? 😭 That show was absolute peak British daytime TV chaos. Lie detector tests treated like gospel, family feuds unfolding in front of millions, security sprinting across the stage every five minutes, and somehow Jezza managed to fit “sort your life out” into every episode. It was reality TV turned up to 100. Every few months my TikTok FYP serves me another chaotic Jeremy Kyle clip and the comments are always the same: “Where’s the documentary?” “We need the behind-the-scenes.” “Netflix, do your thing.” We’ve had documentaries exposing Jerry Springer, America’s Next Top Model, (and I think one about The X Factor is coming?) and every other iconic reality TV train wreck, but somehow one of the most controversial shows in British TV history still hasn’t had the full deep dive. Outrageous! I want the producer interviews. I want former guests. I want to know how they found these people, what happened when the cameras stopped rolling, what the atmosphere was really like backstage, how the lie detector tests worked - all of it!
