Can't use hp adapters on dell. The sense wire won't communicate to the laptop what wattage the adapter is do it will run at lowest clock speeds. Check recommended adapter wattage for that model or just get a 180w or 200w adapter if you going to game anyway it's going to need juice

the power adapter is the issue! do NOT put hp power adapters in these, these need a 65-90W psu, different for every model. lots of these are thrown out for being slow, they only need a new psu

Reminds me of an issue caused by Intel Speedstep on Intel Mac’s throttling to 0.8 GHz when no battery is installed, dunno why they do that lol

easy fix tho, you just need to reflash/update the bios (no extra tools needed), then install all the drivers on your fresh windows install. i noticed it has a dedicated radeon gpu, so you need to install that driver too, after that just repaste the laptop it's not that hard lol

Use a genuine Dell adapter. I had a similar one and it didn't like the charger, when i got another genuine one it worked great.

Yoh I have the same issue where on my laptop when am charging my laptop it dips the clocks and makes the tasks am doing about to shutdown and then resumes without a problem and happens every 40secs when it's charging and when on battery it doesn't and found that mine also dipped cause of the charger was about to run out of watts and dips the CPU to be stable. what's that software u used to bypass I have a new charger.
