She was married to Euri Jenkins, and the couple were living in Lantana in Florida when our crime takes place. In the early hours of 29th June, pregnant Makeva lay asleep upstairs when a masked intruder broke into the home. A frantic 911 call came in to police - it was Makevas brother explaining she was fighting for her life. The media were told a horrifying story about a masked intruder taking the mothers life.. and how her husband Euri cradled her in his arms. Detectives wondered whether the incident had been a robbery gone wrong due to her successful business but nothing had been stolen. This was clearly a more thought out crime. Then Euri called up to try and claim on his wife’s life insurance - just days after she was killed and found out he was not the beneficiary. Euri’s friend Demetri then started admitting to officers he had some involvement. Euri was the mastermind of the crime and Demetri had agreed to drive the getaway car. A guy called Jovan Joseph was the hired hitman. Demetri realised they had so much evidence, so he agreed to work with police to try and get convictions.
