Austin King :
The First Funeral is always a quiet private affair. no flowers, no mourners, hell, not even a drink to honor your passing. you died on a couch watching a TV show you watched for a million times before. between the comedic timing to two actors, something broke inside you. something you weren't aware was lost. for a time, you keep going. Just because something breaks doesn't mean a clock has to stop functioning. but you slowly begin to notice the change. your interests begin to be unappealing to you. you no longer feel comfortable the way you used to. then, one day, the once glorious grandfather clock that you were finally fully stops. no clicking of struggling gears, no swinging of a pendulum, no calls for help. one day, it stops. Maybe its in the privacy of your bedroom with one too many prescriptions, or maybe its going out into the woods with a rope, or maybe its holding a picture of someone you loved and sobbing because the agony of being without them is too much to bear and you put a revolver under your jaw and... The Second Funeral happens and everyone grieves. they saw your pain and they know deep down, despite everything, that you are free from what killed you years before.
