Let them know that the ones who are staying true to the culture are most likely not going on social media because they may not like what they’re seeing on social media and are avoiding it

Social media is not a representation of real life. And unfortunately with the way the algorithm works sometimes it'll push things that don't always align with what you're interested in seeing and it takes some time to get back. It may feel like she's the only hijabi and that must be really hard but I promise she's not. What's important is to stay true to who she is and what she wants. There will always be people who will choose to take it off and there will be people who will choose to put it on for the first time or to keep it on.

what is her heart telling her? I don't wear a hijab or know the rules surrounding it but it seems like a very important part of your culture. so what about showing her the difference in the cultures and the clothing that goes along with it. pride in your culture is so important. like, Scottish men and kilts, native American and their native outfits, Indian women and the Sari, etc. I personally find hijabs very beautiful and extremely flattering. they give a level of security in public that I don't get in jeans and a t-shirt. she sounds like she has a good head on her shoulders tho and is not taking this lightly.

I would say honey I know at your age that It seems that way like everybody is doing this, but they’re not. The people you’re seeing on social media are doing that but that doesn’t mean everyone’s doing it. I would remind her the reason why you wear one. I would say there are people doing all kinds of things out in the world that we wouldn’t want to, do but we’re not going to do them just because someone else is. For instance there are people who are using drugs, there are people who do unkind things and there are not spreading goodness in the world. We don’t do those things just because they do that doesn’t make it a reason for us to want to do it. God bless.

I’m not a mom. But I love kids. If I were her mom, I’d tell her just to keep wearing her Hijab if it makes her feel better. Don’t follow the crowd be yourself. ❤️always be yourself.

remind her that social media is not real life, and even though it feels like it's speaking directly to us sometimes it's really just a little corner of the big world. she should not hold anyone online on a pedestal because we truly don't know them. mashallah you have very smart girls who feel comfortable coming to you to talk about it and that's the best part of the story!

The goal in raising any children is to instill self-worth in them so that they don't seek validation from others. Hopefully, they also learn what reality is versus people creating illusion on social media.

This really touched my heart. My daughter is also the only hijabi in her school. About a year ago, I kept wondering, “What if one day she tells me she doesn’t want to wear her hijab anymore?” That fear led me to write an e-book to help young girls love their hijab and feel confident wearing it, even when they’re different. I haven’t published it yet. My advice to us as mums is to focus on helping our daughters love and understand their hijab, not just wear it. A strong connection with Allah and a safe, supportive home will always be their greatest protection. May Allah keep our daughters steadfast and proud of their faith. Ameen. 🤍

It’s so hard to say with social media. Did they purposely do that to get people’s attention?? Keep doing what is right for you, don’t use social media as a gauge for yourselves.

I say to my daughter lets go i am taking my hijab off.. and she shows discomfort so I tell her. if you are feeling discomfort for me what about you? what about your friends? then I remind her that what matters is what allah require from us because people and environment can affect our feelings. allah gave us everything we ever prayed for including our parent and friends and we can't repay him by not following his comands🥰 hope that helps. our kids go under many problems but proper conversations can help them go long way💕. allah gave us everything that is good for us including the modesty is a gift from allah to protect us, so if someone refuses they are refusing the protection of thier maker💔💕
