when I fostered a very neglected dwarf hamster she would lunge and bite at the bars if my hand even came close, when taming hamsters I had their enclosure on the bed and I would just have my hand resting inside, after a bit of sunflower seeds and time she quickly realized my hand was not a threat, she barely accepted being touched but I was able to give her a couple of pets and then more sunflower seeds

Got my little guy just around a month ago and he’s still not 100% with me there is night he doesn’t even want to come out of his cage or he will stay in his bed , he nibbles me not bite and also very jumpy any tips would help I have had 2 hamsters before and they were fine with the first few days but this guy he still stuck in his shell
