Folks are missing the point: it’s not that it’s anyone’s responsibility to CARRY a conversation. It’s just about adding a description or detail and the other person can choose to continue the conversation or drop it. It’s just a way to invite someone to talk more with you if they’d like. The bonus part is they can always come back another time and follow up with you!

Lord me trying to explain what I do as a research forester makes people’s eyes glaze over SO fast. Idk how not to kill the convo when someone asks what I do. Even if I just say “I’m a forester” it’s too much to explain, no one wants to hear it 😂🙈
