My friend had cancer in a kidney long ago and he has debilitating nerve pain. It’s caused from scar tissue. He just had a nerve block hoping it would help and it didn’t.

No nerve pain gets worse or better but doesn’t change , at least it didn’t for me. As you implied “it doesn’t feel like nerve pain” because nerve pain feels very specific. If it doesn’t feel like nerve pain, it’s not nerve pain. Can’t wait to hear good news.

I know it's not the same but I had emergency surgery to removed a ovary due to a cyst twisting it and after the removal I had pain on and off for a year or so but nothing was wrong just things healing. I'm hoping it just healing and very simple reason for the pain that they can help you easily with

I had pain after having a kidney removed due to cancer and one thing you have to realize all your other organs are now trying to fill in the spaces of the organs that were removed. Hopefully that’s all it is.

I had my kidney removed almost the same time as you do to the same reason. How is your labs for the kidney levels mine are slowly getting to where the doctor want them to be but it’s stressful some times.

Sometimes it’s “ghost” pain. It’s like amputee have that as well sometimes

How'd it go? I read that scar tissue and healing can cause pain, especially with organs so close together. Also, the remaining kidney tissue could be settling (think a tetris lime dropping to fill the void)

I had stomach esophogus removed March 2025 and I still have some pain inside I cant explain and my scans been clear. its always a worry for sure.
