I am trying to keep my videos more real rather than have everything perfectly curated. Lots of followers have this misconception that content creators lives are “perfect” and I guess it’s because we show mostly perfect videos. Whilst I like aesthetically pleasing videos it’s ok to show the side of you that’s raw and real. I come from a telegu speaking home where we never made Roht, over the years I learned how to make it with help from my mother-in-law The full recipe for the Roht is on my blog, link in bio. Some tips: By the time you fry the third or fourth batch of Roht it sometimes cracks, that’s because it dries out. Try covering it with a slightly damp cloth whilst frying the others. The oil has to be at a medium temperature, too hot and the insides won’t cook. Reduce the temperature after frying each batch so the oil is not too hot I use a scale to weigh the ghee as the cup measurements has just not been working for most people, although it did work for me. I pressed the dough into approximately 6cm diameter circles and about 1/2cm thick. Ingredients 3 cups cake flour 1 cup granulated sugar (add another 1/4 cup if you want it sweeter) 1 teaspoon elachie powder 2 tablespoon almond powder (optional) 140 gram butter ghee, slightly more than 1/2 cup 1 cup full cream milk room temperature For frying 3-4 cups butter ghee A blessed Hanuman Jayanti for tomorrow 🕉️
