I don’t know why so many people hate Korra. She suffered so much, and if you’ve watched the show, you’ll understand what I mean. Spoiler alert: In Book 3 (I think), she’s captured by the villain (and it wasn’t the first or the last time). He injects a strange metal into her body, causing her excruciating pain and almost killing her. Even after she escapes, she loses her connection to the past Avatars. The Legend of Korra is also about psychological trauma. She is so broken by everything she’s been through that she ends up in a wheelchair and falls into a deep depression.
