I just gave birth 4 weeks ago! I was questioning the decision of being a mother, it bothered me so much. Yesterday when I was holding my baby it clicked to me, why people have children.- it’s because in our lives things keep happening to us, we never get to look at them from an outward perspective, but with a child it’s like reliving but now watching from the outside. It’s the opportunity to fix our childhood and youth trauma, it’s the chance to experience a love so selfless you would literally die for your children, it’s the opportunity to finally understand our parents and all the parents in the world, but most of all it’s the chance to serve God by taking care of others selflessly. Now life is all about experience, if you get the chance to experience being a parent even once, it’s good.
