It’s funny because I hear all these stories about women thinking they are being followed and then I scroll and see the loss prevention guys videos about how they follow people around the store trying to catch people, they even wait in their car and walk into the store and then walk back out to their car to make sure people don’t think they are loss prevention.

notify store employees if it happens again and NEVER go out to your car when they are watching....they likely have your tag number and can find out where you live....

This has happened to me. I walked up to two random girls and said "I've been looking for you all over!" And then got close enough to tell them the man behind me was following and can I please buddy with them a minute until he left. They were angels.

Everyone is saying it was loss prevention but I that doesn’t add up for him following you out to your car?? Wouldn’t loss prevention just stay in the building? Maybe I don’t understand how the job works for loss prevention. Sure I could agree the first guy might have been LP but the second?? Glad you’re safe!

When I was young I was followed around a grocery store. I spoke to the manager. Ends up it was store security like I was trying to steal something. I was even more pissed.

Glad you're safe but PLEASE tell security, even if you call them once you're safe. not telling anyone in the store puts other women in danger too unfortunately.

Last time this happened to me I did all the aisle-switching you did, same types of dudes acting super sketchy with no cart, no items etc. I was also alone and I went to the canned goods aisle, picked up the BIG container of crushed tomatoes and held it while I stared him down. He hurried away. It’s terrifying!!

Idk how much the rbh helped you really. They still followed, maintained eye contact & even approached you… it would probably have been best to draw attention to the situation

I go to the pest control section, grasp wasp spray. Very loudly let them know it sprays 25ft. I don’t play around with my safety.
