what separated them was the individual albums from wu that came out after 36 chambers. that first run of albums along with dropping forever in 97 was just impossible to top. I love bcc and wu but nothing is beating wu's run 92-97.

BCC has always been better then Wu…. Columbia pushed wu to suburb yt kids…. Goto a wu show across america & its 90% yt crowd, especially down south & out west…

The whole boot camp clik is arguably the most underrated group in all of hip hop history. They just did not get the recognition they are today. buckshot is a pioneer in this. He's the reason I fell in love with rap music.

Wu-Tang was not on Columbia. In 1993 they signed to Loud Records. Columbia was way bigger than Loud.

What's funny is....your using this platform to basicly dispute and tear your brother apart about his truth. But your not educating the people in what your saying is true and not. The truth is EVERYTHING Buckshot said was true. But what you left out was they... BOOTCAMP ....did have hits sir. They just didnt have as many as WUTANG. Their consistency wasn't there, not to mention they were on a small label that wasn't able to give them the push they needed to be more successful. If you are so much the "music dude" you should say that and EDUCATE those tuning in that may also be in music and need to learn about the difference it makes in everything the work you put in as well as who pushes that work for you. Case and point you can have GREAT artist but if the label doesn't know what to do with you....then your a dead duck in open water. A successful career in music is based on the correct chemistry in ALL areas people. To show they understood that that's the reason they formed Duckdown and partnered with Priority for later projects. Tell the whole truth bruh. Now I return you back to your regularly scheduled programming...

In 1990, RZA left New York City to live in Steubenville, Ohio, where his mother stayed. The artist has touched on this period in lyrics, as well in his text, The Tao Of Wu. On weekends, RZA stayed with his stepfather, who ran a convenience store in Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania’s Hill District. RZA continues, “The streets [were] not working. Every time we get a package, you can make $10,000. But guess what? Somebody [each time] got arrested. Somebody got shot. I kept seeing a cycle of non-success,” recalls RZA, who watched bad news within in his circle transpire on a weekly basis. “‘Yo, so-and-so got shot,’ ‘Yo, they stabbed [Wisegod] ‘Yo, they shot [Ghostface Killah].’ It was never right. Then, all of a sudden, myself is in violence; I’m facing eight years in prison. All of this knowledge that I accumulated is worth toilet-paper right now because I’m not [properly] utilizing it.” Wu-Tang Clan Empties All 36 Chambers For Logic. This Collabo Is Nuthin’ To F Wit (Audio) In 1991, RZA allegedly shot Willie Waters in the leg after Waters kicked RZA’s car. According to a 2000 Village Voice article by Frank Owen, RZA was charged with felonious assault. In this same period of time, Ghostface Killah was shot in Ohio. Wu Tang had a gimmick, that’s what they had. Boot Camp made raw street shit and looked and dressed like the rest of us. Wu’s “mystique” was their gimmick with all the martial arts stuff etc.
