It’s medical abuse. It’s not you. I went through the same thing and it took years for my doctors and my family to advocate for me. It’s hard. You just have to accept that the doctors are idiots. You know yourself trust yourself. What you are feeling is true. Don’t let their false image of you affect you. You are 100% valid to feel these feelings. You were traumatized. Love you disabled Baddie! ❤️

My mom didn’t even believe me. I’m currently only diagnosed with HSD (hypermobile syndrome disorder). I’m in chronic pain. I don’t know what a day feel like without something hurting. The second doctor I saw let me do all my hypermobile “tricks” and as soon as I clunked my hip back in (I waited ALL DAY to do this so I could show her) she was like yeahhh your def hypermobile. I have to use heat all the time 20 mins on 30 mins off. But my mom still doesn’t believe me. She thinks I’m just lazy or making it all up like my aunt. Like no. My body just doesn’t work the way I need it to. There’s so much I can’t do anymore. There’s a lot of things I wanted to try that I really can’t or shouldn’t.

I am going through this and I started to only care what the people who see me daily think cause they know 1000% what I am actually going through

I had to start bringing a witness with me to my Dr appts. Not only to confirm to the Drs that I indeed have these problems and symptoms but to keep the Drs honest and accountable.
As for that dang voice in our heads that tells us lies....Give it a name and talk to it out loud. (Mine is named Ed bc it's in my head) Use gentle parenting techniques to acknowledge the feeling and redirect it to something more productive. It starts dumb but eventually it'll shut up all together or it'll become less mean.
*Doing this in public may cause ppl to look at ya. Do it anyway bc mental health with a chronic illness is more important than what other ppl think. 💜💜💜
Good Luck

The hardest thing is your mind wanting to get up and out and do stuff and your body fighting against you. It’s one day at a time.

I started reporting my symptoms at age 12 to my providers. It wasn't until I was literally bed bound in my early 30s that I finally got diagnosed. So hard knowing know much of my damage was preventable if I had been taken seriously. I am still "in" it. Sometimes it is hour by hour. Focus on what you ARE able to do and drown out the rest.
