@48hourscbs: After her murder, Catina Salarno’s family created "Crime Victims United," which supports victims of crime, survivors, and their families while advancing public safety and victims' rights across California. In May, Crime Victims United presented “48 Hours” with an award for “elevating the voices of victims and ensuring their experiences remain seen, heard, and understood.”  Justine Vanderschoot’s family was also in attendance on the night the award was presented. "48 Hours" is proud to work with families like the Salarnos and the Vanderschoots to highlight their stories — as well as countless others — and the relentless pursuit of justice.
