The problem I have is that avoidants don’t see or care how their actions affect others. It’s whatever they can handle for themselves in the moment that matters at all times. Never putting anyone else’s feelings above their own. Once any talk about having them hold themselves accountable comes to fruition, the loop begins again and therefore the real problems never get resolved.

over the years we were together I told her that she can tell me if I do or say anything that upsets her and I'll apologize and try my best to do better. Unfortunately she decided to not tell me anything until after she distanced herself and wanted to end or relationship. when I asked her why she didnt tell me sooner, she said she hates confrontation

Totally makes sense. Everything you mentioned is what happened after beautiful 4 days at the beach together. She just went dark on me. It’s almost 2 months since we seen each other and almost a month since our last text. I’m moving forward with my life. I’m not interested in living with that kind of person I’m life ever again

How does a person stop doing this though? I can't make friends and I really really really don't want to date because of it. I've been to three different therapists but I'm unfortunately paranoid that everyone is secretly horribly irredeemably evil and out to get me somehow which makes it hard to talk to anyone especially someone who's gonna try to change me somehow (which is a therapist's job). Doesn't help I found out one of them was incredibly transphobic AFTER coming out. It's profoundly lonely never talking to people but it's still better than get away from me. Get away from me.
