I am a wheelchair user. On my first day of interning for a school counselor, we went into a first grade classroom and one kid asked if I was the counselors mother. She is 11 years older than me. 🤣

the makeup thing happens to every teacher!!! we all get asked if we're sick. thats why i wear makeup to open house, then only for special occasions. mascara and eyebrows daily but face is saved for concerts, parties, pictures, and some fieldtrips. This gives the opposite effect because theyre used to my normal face and then gush about how beautiful I am when I get dolled up. and their kinders so they're sooooo sweet about it 🥰

Kids have no filter. Autistic people can have no filter. Autistic kids are the most ruthless humans you’ll ever come across. I say this with love as an autistic adult who was once one of those autistic kids
