Лења :
Are we forgetting that not every rich person simply woke up rich? Some people worked for years, grew up with very little, took risks, built businesses, created jobs, and eventually earned the position they’re in. Being wealthy by itself doesn’t make someone a bad person.
And there are plenty of wealthy people who actually give a huge amount back. Lewis Hamilton, for example, personally pledged £20 million to establish Mission 44, which supports young people facing barriers in education and employment. Michael Schumacher donated €1 million after the 2002 European floods, $10 million after the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, and another €500,000 after the 2013 European floods.
Obviously, wealth and inequality can be discussed and criticised, especially when people exploit others or abuse their position. But saying “eat the rich” as if every wealthy person is automatically selfish or evil is just as unreasonable as saying every poor person is responsible for their situation.
You can criticise a system without hating everyone who succeeded within it. And honestly, I think some people would have a very different opinion about wealth if they were suddenly the ones who had it.
