@thrivewithrashid: I was in my head quite a bit before this. I approached someone else and I didn’t feel happy how it went. I was going to leave it and tell myself I still did a good job. But I know me lol, I would’ve beaten myself up once I left the gym. On my journey of overcoming a stutter, a lot of it has to do with doing very uncomfortable things to expand my comfort zones. But also, replacing any negative experiences with positive ones. If I don’t do that, then the first thing that’ll come to my mind when I do this again is “ah this was hard last time, I don’t want it to be hard again”. This was a lot better. Not perfect, but I left it feeling like I did something that I didn’t need to do. I gave myself a higher standard of what I know is possible. #stutter #discomfortisgrowth #showingup #overcomingobstacles #exposuretherapy

You could see her assessing if she was safe then once she realized he wasn't asking for more than talk she was locked in. Well done Rashid. 🥰

The amount of men making her being nice to seem like this was romantic is disturbing though...Women can't even be civil to y'all 😭

Stammer gets worse with anxiety and the fact that his speech was getting better as he was talking to her says a lot about the level of comfort he felt in that interaction 🥰

Do you sing often? My late brother studdered and was instructed (at a young age) to try singing whenever he had a chance. It helped so much with his speech and He actually became a well known country artist in here in Canada. 🫶🏽 Good for you for being as brave as you are!
