data centres have been making places uninhabitable, drying up water in the local area, suddenly flooding it, making the water quality very very poor. that is still an absolutely huge issue that you're privileged enough to not have to care about, but that's a reality for a lot of people and it will be more once more data centres are set up. there are much bigger issues when it comes to ai, but you absolutely CANNOT come into a conversation about water usage and data centres by calling people hypocritical when working class people are disproportionately now affected by data centres being built near their neighbourhoods

it makes people stupider, plus its easier to stop AI than any of these other wasteful sources named. if we stop using AI, people wil get smarter and get better jobs, think more creative and be way more social. It would also help the environment because of the fact that water is less wasted, its a small step but it would help.

its not JUST that the data centers are using the water. its using the water and then making it undrinkable and are built in populated areas. Not just that but its mainly being put into generative Ai and Mass surveillance Ai Algorithms
