@nelsonxlee: YC dropped their Requests For Startups for Fall 2026 and some of the ideas are much bigger than another AI wrapper. The three that stood out most to me for SWE founders: 1. A Cloud For Small Software AI can build internal tools incredibly quickly, but deploying them, adding authentication and sharing them securely is still far too complicated. YC thinks tiny, purpose-built apps should be as easy to share as a Google Doc. 2. Multiplayer AI Most AI work still happens inside one person’s private chat. YC believes teams should be able to enter the same agent session, watch what it’s doing and redirect it together. Basically: Google Docs for AI agents. 3. Self-Maintaining APIs Instead of developers manually fixing their code every time Stripe, Cloudflare or another API changes, the API provider could scan affected codebases and automatically open the fix as a pull request. Think Dependabot, except it actually understands and rewrites the code. These ideas all point in the same direction: AI is not only changing how software gets written.
