@d.gioh: I have Vitiligo. It covers 97% of my body and also changes my hair color. For those who don’t know me, I have to show them a picture from years ago for them to believe me 😏 Vitiligo is often misunderstood, understudied & not spoken on as often. I’ve experienced many levels of ignorance throughout the years due to the lack of knowledge people have on the matter. No it’s not contagious No it won’t go away if you rub it No I don’t tan No I did not get burned in fire No I did not bleach my skin No my silver hair is not bc of stress No I do not rather be white The list could go on and on… point is to just be mindful with how you approach people.
