In this interview, the famous Brazilian actress Taís Araújo says something really common actually. But before I break down ger phrase, send this to someone who's learning Portuguese to check what they can catch✈️ Ok, let's go: ​🔪 "Pra fazer" becomes "p-fazer": We completely drop the "ra" and glue the "p" directly to the next verb sometimes. No time to waste. 🔪 "Uma" becomes "ũã": Brazilians love nasal sounds. When speaking fast, the "m" disappears entirely, leaving just a strong, nasal vibration. So number 1 might just becoma Ũ or Ũã. 🔪 "Personagem" becomes "persnaji": We swallow the unstressed "o" in the middle of the word and turn the final "-em" into an "-i" sound. ​ 📚 Written Portuguese: "Convidada pra fazer uma personagem." 🗣Spoken Portuguese: "Convidada p-fazer ũã persnaji."
