No hits or walks, or errors. No one reached base for any reason. That’s the difference. A no-hitter means the pitcher gave up no hits (meaning that if they do hit the ball, it gets caught, or the runner gets thrown out at first base so then it does not count as a hit. Now, in a no-hitter, batters can still reach base on walks, errors, or hit-by-pitches. A perfect game means nobody reaches base at all. 27 up, 27 down. Good night, Charlie.
