You know my favorite part about China? It’s mostly secular. We could be so much farther ahead as a country if we’d stop giving power to religious fanatics. I wonder how much of China’s success can be attributed to the rejection of religion?

people dont realize that socialism is a transitional system that moves a state from capitalism to communism and if theyre Marxist Leninist as china is they will have one central party reason it exists is to prevent tribalism like we see in the usa instead under a single party people debate policy rather than teams

Increasingly feels like they’ve never been “the bad guys” and it’s all just been American brainwashing. It’s hard not to see this perspective as propaganda as well though. Eventually someone always chimes in with “but their human rights record!” In terms of global dominance- should we be rooting for china now?

I didn't know that about them developing towards socialism. I guess I thought of it is you're either capitalist or socialist, but your explanation makes sense. I hope that it works out for them, like in 2049 I hope that they're able to accomplish their goals.
