Also, if the earth is spinning so fast, shouldn't we have flown out long ago?

Oceans Dont have wings. Butterfly if Dont move the wings Dont fly. Water when is light enough goes up. But when it have enough mass comes back down as rain or snow… So many wrong information here 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️will be wasting time to explain any more

Gravity pulls on everything equally in terms of acceleration, but it pulls with a different force depending on the object. Force = Mass × Acceleration

The easiest way to understand why this isn't a problem for gravity is to start with what Newton's laws actually say. Newton's 1st law says an object remains at rest or keeps moving at constant velocity unless a net force acts on it. Newton's 2nd law tells us what happens when there is a net force: net force = mass × acceleration. So if there is a net force, the object accelerates; if the net force is zero, it doesn't Now, about gravity. Near Earth's surface, gravitational acceleration is about 9.81 m/s² (which is a measured fact, you will get the same value if you know how to account for aur resistance, or just remove the air). We call this value "g", and it means that an object in free fall gains about 9.81 m/s of downward velocity every second. Mass is the amount of matter in an object, measured in kg, while weight is the gravitational force acting on that mass, measured in newtons: weight = mass × g. So for a 1 kg object: weight = 1 kg × 9.81 m/s² = 9.81 N. You don't get weight without mass AND gravity So why doesn't gravity "hold down" a butterfly the same way it holds down the ocean? It does. The difference is the other forces acting on them. For example, if the ocean has a mass of 1 billion kg: weight = 1,000,000,000 kg × 9.81 m/s² = 9.81 billion N. A 1 gram butterfly has a mass of 0.001 kg, so: weight = 0.001 kg × 9.81 m/s² = 0.00981 N. Both experience the same gravitational acceleration, but the butterfly's tiny weight can easily be opposed by aerodynamic forces from its wings and air resistance. If its wings produce 0.00981 N of upward force, then net force = 0.00981 N - 0.00981 N = 0 N, so acceleration = net force / mass = 0 / 0.001 = 0 m/s². The butterfly isn't escaping gravity; it's producing another force that balances its weight. And if you remove the air and put the butterfly in a vacuum, it falls at essentially the same gravitational acceleration as a much heavier object. Gravity doesn't need to "hold down" everything equally. It produces acceleration, while other forces can oppose it. A butterfly flying is therefore not evidence against gravity; it's exactly what Newtonian mechanics predicts.
