The Bass family (Sasha and Ed took over in 2019) ruined so much of the area out of greed. The interesting fun businesses and unique little shops couldn’t afford the leases and left. Businesses that remained are fairly well established but restaurants are expensive- it’s only busy on a random weekend and now you can’t find enough free parking. I believe Sasha Bass turned management over to Ed Kraus (no conflict there- Mr Chief of police) Google FWR July 20 for his statement. Many people who live in DFW visit like once or twice and done! There’s nothing interesting to keep people attention like a weekend market- art shows or like the old Barnes and Noble and Starbucks but now it’s expensive stores and a Cheesecake Factory. See ya again maybe around Christmas for a big tree and the Nutcracker performance?- maybe? 🤷♂️

I live 3 minutes from downtown. And work downtown. And that’s all I do downtown. Near Southside is where it’s at.

Yep...FORT WORTH WAS LIT WHEN I WAS IN COLLEGE AND IN MY EARKY 30s . I literally went to Jakes daily for happy hour and parked in front of Mi Cocina. Now theres a friggin horse carriage ride there and zero free parking.

Another vote AGAINST Sasha Bass! She made it too expensive to rent buildings, park, etc. ran all the nightlife and restaurants out and parking garages just sit empty. It was thriving in the 90s.
