Oh well I been in Australia 🇦🇺 14 years never looked back , got citizenship , enjoy the winter and the general misery most people feel that side , if you have skills you probably will be back , England is unfortunately on its knees

Been working in Australia four years now, am married to an Australian - we are going back to the UK next year & really looking forward to it. Miss the pubs, historic towns & villages, the incredible cities; the architecture; how you can walk down a street and come across medieval buildings/ castles/churches; miss the lush green countryside; lush country lanes; country pubs; the cultural life; decent live music; the long light summer evenings (always dark here by 8pm); and proximity to all that Europe has to offer & the ease of getting there cheaply. An Australian once said to me "Australia is great but it's a bit like living with your nan, you are taken care of and there's nothing to complain about but you always feel like the party is happening elsewhere."

"....After a UK winter...". The UK isn't Siberia Arctic Canada or the American Midwest. Winters are usually very mild because of the Gulf Stream. Snow is rare at se level ie everymajor town or city. Ioftem went ro the pub on Christmas Day in a T-shirt because the weather was so mild inthe depths of winter. The Hrirish Isles has the mildest climate in the world at its latitude. So if you'll struggle with a UK winter there's really no hope for you

The heat would drive me insane. At least here in the UK if it gets too cold you can wear a million layers of clothes to keep you warm. Theres no escape from the heat 😂

100% that’s why I came back amongst other things. There are some fab beaches in the UK and the weather in the summer here now is no different to Aus
