the woman that tested me asked me how I ended up there and as SOON as I started explaining why I was suspecting she took notes and tried not to laugh😭 “well, I obviously can't confirm anything yet but yeah I believe you”

My therapist was convinced I was already diagnosed so when she was listing symptoms I was having she said “so this is most likely due to your autism” and I was like “I don’t have autism” guess what I have now 😀

They were trying to see why my brother wasn’t talking at 6 and saw 3 year old me and asked if I got my diagnoses yet, not if I had been tested

ive never been tested but my mum mentioned to my doctor that my brother is autistic and the doctor gave my mum this look then looked at me and was like "that makes sense" 😭😭

I didnt even get to see the doctor, receptionist diagnosed me before I walked in the building. (not even diagnosed but the amount I get asked isnt funny anymore) 😅

Asked my psyc if we could do a dyslexia eval, she was looking through my chart and asked, “Did I ever diagnose you with autism?” Said no, got sent an eval and diagnosed by my next visit. Asked what made her first think I was autistic, “You’re just…odd.” HUH???

i remember they made me play with some toys (a barbie, an ironman and a dinosaur) an i pretended that the barbie was protecting the dinosaur, the lady told me "you are the first person to ever put the dinosaur as the good guy" and i told her "yeah, obviously, its in all fours, it herbivore" i gueds that is when she diagnosed me (srry, english is not my first language)

me: I think I have autism my dad: you don't have autism it's ignorant to say that, you just struggle with a lot of things that's personality traits and being lazy everyone has a hard time but you're not trying. me:.... you're so wrong that you're so close to the point..
