@mentz.md: I don’t see this knot used very often, but I find it very useful after a robust deep dermal closure. A good one for the toolbox. #plasticsurgery #plasticsurgeryresidency #medschool #suturepractice #surgeryrotation
Sometimes the aberdeen knot breaks and what I end up doing is bringing the tail out, hemostat on the tail, dermabond, then when it dries cut the tail at the skin

Tell me about your sailing history or Boy Scout CV. I use this knot a lot - a buried or Aberdeen is not quite deep enough and sometimes leads to a little suture abscess which I hate

Why not do an Aberdeen and bury it?

Is it reasonable to start and end you stick this way? Same logic with the bulky knot at the beginning
