I'm 38 and in the same boat as you. But my teeth are falling out I've lost 2 in 4 months. I keep asking my dentist to remove mine and put dentures in as I don't think I will have them this time next year 🤣

You would have thought throughout all the decades of dentistry they would have come up with a way to restore gum/bone tissue or something. It’s like all the solutions in dentistry are all really horrific and expensive

hygienist here! yes definitely periodontal disease, but I saw you say it's stabilized and I agree with you! your gums look healthy and your teeth look clean. without seeing your xrays it's hard to say for sure, but as long as you don't have any mobility I'd guess you still have a long time with your teeth 😊

Just goes to show…you can do everything right, and it doesn’t matter!!! I swear dental issues, cost and treatment is all a mystery. Why are our teeth separate from the rest of our bodies? Why are dentists the most judgmental medical providers? The world may never know.

I was going to say - genetics plays a HUGE role in your teeth so don’t beat yourself up. A lot of people with “unproblematic” teeth eat like garbage and have poor oral hygiene

I learned it is actually genetic. My grandmother and mother actually both have this, they both have had grafts twice. I’m praying I make it long without grafts, I take good care of my teeth but I’m scared of the degeneration.
