My first concert was Led Zepplin if Sanfrancisco’s Kezar stadium on June 2nd 1973. With Lee Michaels and the Tubes. I was 14 at the time. We had the best concerts in the world thanks to Bill Graham. He was so plugged in with all the top musicians and he just kept the concerts coming. Day on the greens at the Oakland coliseum, the Fillmore, Kezar, and even small venues. I was at Frenchies in Hayward having a few beers at the bar and Eric Clapton walked in. He got up and jammed 3 songs then had a beer and left. There wasn’t 50 people in the club at the time. The Bay Area produced a lot of stars. I used to watch Journey practice in an empty auditorium at weekes park in Hayward when they were just getting started. I’ve partied back stage with the Lynyrd Skynyrd band at the Santa Clara Fairgrounds before the plane crash. There were others. It was a fun time to be young.

I went to Tampa to see them a few weeks before that show, they came out to play it was raining and they played 3 songs and left the stage saying they would return shortly! Look it up what happened when they never came back out
