The midas is indeed a very rare piece however the midas is also very tricky to be sold. Not everyone will spend this kind of money just bc of a gold handle. I’m a collector of over a decade and turned down the midas as well. Wearing this bag in europe is difficult. So it‘s not a big suprise they offer it to someone they might think has the funds for it.
