My dinner at a nice Marriott never came to the table after my work group ordered and the gave me 30k points for my trouble. 20K points isn’t nearly enough compensation…so sorry you are dealing with this.

I just looked 25000 USA Hilton points online - it tells me that it's equivalent to anywhere from $100-125 . They didn't even compensate you enough to pay for everything that was stolen from you. Or sorry..."lost". It's a REALLY bad deal.

majority of the hotel chain properties are not operated by the chain itself. usually the franchise operators will have multiple hotels and often under multiple brands. the corporate to chase down might really be the company that operates this hotel and others because the chain will just disclaim any operational responsibility and keep bouncing you down to the lowest level.
