It's a fear of a red-brown alliance without the vocabulary or historical knowledge. So liberals feel threatened by both sides and apply horseshoe theory (despite fishhook theory having more relevance). Then there's just a name-calling aspect of it, they get told that they're conservative by other leftists and react the same way. People who know what words mean have explained that your intent and the impact don't align and claim that you share the same goals of the alt-right to take down the democratic party.

I bet somebody saw one of your videos where you are saying things from different pov’s. And you say “Hi I’m a republican and I …” and “Hi I’m a socialist and I …” but apparently they stopped with the first statement and ran with that as truth. You know the type. Watch the first few seconds of a video or read a headline and tell people about it like they are the authority on a subject. 🤔 At least that is my theory.

There are tons of liberals who are convinced that leftists are MAGA or alt right. Their thinking is so shallow that they think if you don't support the blue team, you're red team. They also think that if you're critical of NATO in Ukraine, you're a Trumper. I've had the misfortune of encountering a shocking number of these weirdos. They're not worth your time.
