#Blurrr Enver Pasha was one of the most important and controversial figures in the final years of the Ottoman Empire. He was an Ottoman army officer, revolutionary, and politician who became one of the empire’s main rulers during World War I. Enver is remembered both for his attempts to strengthen the Ottoman state and for the disasters and violence connected to his rule. Enver was born in Istanbul in 1881 into a middle-class family. He studied in military schools and became an officer in the Ottoman army at a time when the empire was weakening. European powers were taking Ottoman lands, the economy was struggling, and many people believed the government of Sultan Abdulhamid II was corrupt and ineffective As a young officer, Enver joined the Young Turks, a reform movement made up mostly of military officers and intellectuals. The Young Turks wanted to modernize the Ottoman Empire, restore the constitution, and reduce the absolute power of the sultan. Enver became famous during the Young Turk Revolution in 1908, when army officers forced the sultan to restore constitutional rule. Many people at the time saw Enver as a hero and symbol of a new Ottoman future After the revolution, Enver gained influence quickly. He also became popular because of his military image and nationalist ideas. During the Balkan Wars of 1912–1913, the Ottoman Empire lost most of its territories in southeastern Europe. These defeats shocked Ottoman society and increased support for stronger military leadership. In 1913, Enver and other Young Turk leaders took power in a coup. He became Minister of War and, together with Talaat Pasha and Djemal Pasha, ruled the empire as part of a group later called the “Three Pashas. One of Enver Pasha’s biggest decisions was leading the Ottoman Empire into World War I in 1914 on the side of Germany and Austria-Hungary. He believed Germany would win the war and that an alliance with Germany could help the Ottomans recover lost lands and become a major power again. Enver admired German military organization and worked closely with German officers However, many of the Ottoman military campaigns under his leadership ended badly. The most famous failure was the Battle of Sarikamish against Russia in the winter of 1914–1915. Enver personally planned the attack in the Caucasus Mountains. Ottoman troops were poorly prepared for the freezing weather, lacked supplies, and became trapped in snow and ice. Tens of thousands of soldiers died, many from cold, hunger, and disease rather than combat. The defeat seriously weakened the Ottoman army and damaged Enver’s reputation During the war, the Ottoman government also carried out mass deportations and killings of Armenians. Ottoman leaders accused Armenians of supporting Russia and threatening the empire from within. Beginning in 1915, Armenian civilians were deported from their homes, forced on deadly marches through the Syrian desert, and subjected to starvation, massacres, and abuse These events are widely recognized by historians as the Armenian Genocide. Between around 800,000 and 1.5 million Armenians died, though exact numbers are debated. Enver Pasha, along with Talaat and Djemal Pasha, is considered one of the principal leaders responsible for the policies that led to these deaths. The topic remains politically sensitive, especially in modern Turkey, where views differ over how the events should be described After the Ottoman Empire lost World War I in 1918, Enver and the other Young Turk leaders fled the country to avoid arrest. He first went to Germany and later tried to stay politically active in the Muslim world. I’m not trying to hate anyone or anything specific country this is just a edit I don’t mean harm to anyone with this edit don’t take this serious 🇹🇷 #turkey🇹🇷 #fy #enverpaşa #fyp @IShowSpeed
